About us:

Central Queensland (CQ) Public Health consists of a multi-disciplinary team of staff including public health physicians, public health nurses, environmental health officers, epidemiologists, data managers, and business services staff, including some with regional-wide roles.

About the role:

The Research Development Coordinator is a key member of the Central Queensland Public Health Unit and reports to the Director of Public Health. The incumbent will be responsible for the development of the Central Queensland Public Health Unit research portfolio under the guidance of the Director of Public Health. This role will provide support to the unit to achieve research aims, manage both internally and externally funded programs, ensure projects remain within budget, and conduct evaluations of the projects with strategic objectives.

About you:

The ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • Research experience including sound knowledge and understanding of research project coordination and reporting.
  • Ability to develop and administer evaluation tools for training courses, preferably in the mental health field.
  • Ability to write high-level correspondence, reports, and journal articles.
  • Experience in using a project management approach to lead high-level training evaluation and/or research projects using well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to advise and influence others and work flexibly and collaboratively as a member of the team.

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $127,235 p.a. is comprised of:

  • A salary between $51.69 – $56.24 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
