Base Salary $79,717 – $89,256 + 17% superannuation
About the opportunity
Westmead Applied Research Centre (WARC) is looking for 2 Research Administration Officers to join their team.
We are looking for someone who can be both a front-runner and back-end processor, balancing the exceptional communication skills needed with patients and participants with the administrative and research activities needed for this role.
The Research Administration Officer addresses routine matters linked to the provision of administrative and operational support for the research work being undertaken by the work area. the incumbent will be expected to exercise some initiative and judgement in the preparation and submission of grant/ethics applications and research publications, ensuring requirements are met in a timely and accurate manner.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
work independently and autonomously or closely under the guidance of WARC leadership team.
Assists with administrative duties including writing up ethics modifications, tracking finances, data logging, archiving, and assists with the administrative running of the associated projects in the Westmead Applied Research Centre (WARC)
Assists with the submission of finalised grant applications and with the submissions of all associated ethics applications ensuring all requirements are satisfied
liaise with patients and potential trial participants for research purposes
maintain accurate and up-to-date paperwork, filing and storage
assist and prepare reports and data by liaising with research investigators
conduct literature reviews and searches to support further analysis of results and outcomes
About you
previous experience or proven skills in running or assisting with research project
well versed in science background knowledge, with demonstrated excellent communication skills
experience in patient recruitment and clinical trials with a proven ability to excel in communicating with participants
data analysis and statistical analysis experience with a proven ability to report on research findings
understanding of research protocols, as well as the capability to complete ethics submissions and grant applications
relevant understanding of work health and safety policy.
