We are seeking dedicated Emergency Medicine Registrars (accredited and non-accredited positions available to join a wonderful health service. Salary – $115,028 – $177,010

Accredited for 24 months of advanced ACEM Training with the opportunity to fulfil the Paediatric requirement.
Weekly protected CME teaching and support from clinical teaching consultants for four hours per week.
- Work with a friendly, dynamic and hands-on group of FACEMs who between them have a broad spectrum of interests in Emergency Medicine including toxicology, ultrasound, simulation, advanced airway management and education.
- Many of the ED consultants instruct on courses including, ALS, EMST, ETM, APLS and Neonatal resuscitation.
- For practitioners not formally training in Emergency Medicine, who are wanting to upskill and gain formal credentialing in Emergency Medicine, we offer supervision & support in completion of the ACEM Emergency Medicine Certificate (EMC), Diploma (EMD) and Advanced Diploma (EMAD) and we are fully accredited with ACRRM to provide advanced specialist training.
The clinical work here is varied, challenging and rewarding. There is extensive opportunity to be involved in critical care cases, inter-hospital transfers of critically unwell patients, toxicology cases, procedural sedation and airway management.
Hospital:
A general hospital treating on average more than 23000 inpatients annually.
Transitioning the hospital to public hands paves the way for the hospital’s redevelopment and service transformation to meet the needs of the region.
The General Surgery unit is responsible for acute and elective admissions. There is a broad case mix of elective and emergency surgical cases with an excellent opportunity to assist in theatre. The variety of surgical presentations to the Emergency Department that require initial review by the surgical JMO team will fast-track and develop your surgical assessment skills.
Essential Selection Criteria
- Eligible for registration by the Medical Board of Australia.
- Demonstrated recent, relevant clinical and procedural experience, skills and abilities in an equivalent emergency medicine setting.
- Demonstrated effective communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and conflict resolution skills to effectively interact with patients, families and personnel at all levels.
- Demonstrated organisational and time management skills to provide safe, timely, patient centred care.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively, as a team member in a multi-disciplinary team environment or independently without supervision.
