This role will support the outpatient clinic in the NSW Women’s Breast Centre. Coordinate and conduct Breast Clinics. Education and follow up of patients, assist with diagnostic procedures and maintenance of stock and equipment levels.
The RN will closely liaise with the Breast Nurses and the Nursing Unit Manager of the NSW Women’s Breast Centre and function as a key member of the multidisciplinary team. The RN will work with and support the role of the breast care nurses and coordinate breast plastics patients and clinics.
The RN will recognise the changing needs of women engaging with the Hospital and ensure a focus on woman centred care and best practice, in line with our vision of working together to improve the health and wellbeing of our community. All staff are expected to act as an appropriate and effective role model and promote culture and supporting practices that reflect the NSW Health CORE values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment through demonstrated behaviours and interactions with patients, clients and employees. The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality nursing care to patients/clients consistent with SESLHD and the RHW policies, procedures and standards.

Selection Criteria * Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia
- Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others.
- Demonstrated ability to proactively engage with patients/clients to enhance service delivery and to guide others in providing service excellence.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and apply professional and ethical boundaries when dealing with complex situations.
- Basic computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems.
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of risk management, safety and quality principles and the role of the Registered Nurse in applying these principle.
- Demonstrated recent extensive post registration experience in an acute hospital, Women’s Heath or Outpatient setting.
