Job description: We are seeking an Emergency Registered Nurse to join our team at Lake Macquarie!
About the Role
Our 6-bed emergency department includes a state of the art resuscitation room, triage room and procedure room. You will work alongside an enthusiastic team of nurses and emergency trained doctors to provide prompt and professional care 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.
We are offering the right candidate a permanent full-time position.
Your Skills and Experience
- Current registration with AHPRA
- Minimum of one (1) year experience working in an Emergency Department
- Demonstrated ability to assess, plan, coordinate and prioritise care delivery needs of patients
- Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment and autonomously as required
- Advanced communication and customer service skills
- ALS/ PALS certification (desirable)
- Post graduate certificate or similar in critical care (desirable)
Remuneration
On offer is an hourly rate ranging from $34.43 – $48.33 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (NSW RN/Midwife gr1-gr8) [FTE 68,033.68 – $95,500.08]

About Our Hospital
Lake Macquarie Private Hospital is a 187 bed acute Medical and advanced surgical hospital situated on the Pacific Highway at Gateshead, 15 kms south of the Newcastle CBD. The hospital is owned and operated by , the largest operator of private hospitals in Australia. The hospital is linked by an overhead walkway to the Lake Macquarie Specialist Centre which provides on-site Radiology and Pathology Services as well as strata title, specialist Medical consulting suites. Lake Macquarie Private Hospital provides private health care services to residents of the Cities of Newcastle and Lake Macquarie as well as the broader referral region of the Hunter – New England Local Government Areas.
Requirements
- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
- According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases, which may include Covid-19.
