We are seeking energetic Registered Nurses to join our dynamic team on Ward K10W Medicine & Respiratory. You will be supported by our team to deliver high quality nursing care to a diverse range of medical and respiratory inpatients.

Ward K10W Medicine & Respiratory, Royal Hobart Hospital

  • Ward K10W is a dynamic General Medical and Respiratory ward. We specialise in the care of patients experiencing acute and/or chronic respiratory disorders, cystic fibrosis, and general medicine patients including adults experiencing eating disorders.
  • On K10 West we are committed to constant quality improvement. We strive to create a positive environment for our staff and patients.
  • We are a welcoming, diverse and friendly team. Support will be provided to those new to general medical and respiratory nursing.

Details of Appointment

Multiple, permanent, full time and part time, shift-worker positions working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*Notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

  • Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.

Salary: $75,902 – $102,908 per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type
  • Professional Development Allowance of up to $500 per annum
  • Access to the Grade 4 salary range $96,558 – $102,908 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4
  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Award

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted: * Conviction checks in the following areas:

  • crimes of violence
  • sex related offences
  • serious drug offences
  • crimes involving dishonesty
  • Identification check
  • Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
