About the Role
Reporting to the Maternity Services Manager, you will be joining a friendly team dedicated to delivering a higher standard of support and care for mothers, newborns and their families.
Our multidisciplinary team of experienced obstetricians, midwives, nursing staff, lactation consultants and allied health professional’s work together to ensure a exceptional care before, during and after pregnancy.
Permanent full-time or part-time role/s available for the right candidates.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong clinical skill set in a hospital maternity setting with a passion for women’s health. You will have a high standard of patient centered care and customer-focused service in line with Ramsay’s core values. You will have exceptional communication skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment where no two days are ever the same.
What You’ll Bring
- Current Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience working in a hospital maternity setting
- Experience in birth suite essential
- Flexibility to work across a 7-day rotating roster
Remuneration
On offer is an hourly rate ranging from $34.43 – $48.33 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (NSW RN/Midwife gr1-gr8) [FTE 68,033.68 – $95,500.08]

About Our Hospital
Wollongong Private Hospital is a 171 bed private hospital operated by Australia’s largest private hospital operator, Ramsay Health Care, is set in the heart of Wollongong’s Medical Precinct. It features state of the art equipment, facilities and patient services setting a benchmark for healthcare facilities in the Illawarra. Wollongong Private Hospital provides all major services including an intensive care unit, ten operating theatres, cardiac and vascular Labs and an Endoscopy suite. Surgical specialties include Cardiothoracics, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, interventional cardiology, Ophthalmology, ENT, Bariatric, Head and Neck, Gynaecological, Urology, Colorectal, upper GI, General, Vascular and Plastics.
Maternity Services comprises of 4 birth suites, 25 bed antenatal/postnatal ward and 7 bay SCN. Midwives work across birth unit and the ward as part of a supportive inclusive team.
Requirements
- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
- According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases, which may include Covid-19.
