Based from Dubai but handling live projects across the UAE, Bahrain & the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This group has 50 Years success and has a track record for servicing the commercial, public, transportation, industrial and power / Petro-chemical sector.When it comes to large scale Concrete & Engineering Projects this business has a track record and are seen as subject matter experts on the following:
- Concrete Behavior
- Evaluating Concrete Problems
- Surface Repair
- Stabilization and Strengthening
- Protection
You will manage and drive the Safety Culture from Training, Mentoring, Upskilling, Awareness and pushing the right approach every time. Working alongside the General Manager you have the chance to really put your stamp on the safety department.DutiesThe ideal candidate will possess a robust background in safety management across Construction Projects . You will have the people skills & communication skills to work with site teams, present to the board and meet and greet new clients when called upon.You will split your time across offices, projects and activities to meet business needs. This may well mean managing training, Conducting, facilitating, and reviewing safety assessments to ensure compliance and results exceed expectations. Able to promote , drive and plan both short term and long term safety initiatives .
- Analyzing data to ensure lessons learnt
- Providing advice at pre-construction – bid stage
- Develop & implement complex EHS Planning (PT, Confined Space, LOTO, etc.)
- Managing multiple teams of all different nationalities & cultures across the region. Can you convey the safety message
- Managing all levels from Trainees, Safety Officers up to HSE Managers
- Working with the Global corporate safety team to ensure company safety initiatives are implemented and meet standards set
For a successful application we are seeking a loyal career history with steady growth in Construction Safety Management. The following has been requested by our client
- Strong communication presentation & IT skills
- ISO 45001 (IRCA) Certification & NEBOSH / IOSH Certifications
- Hands on experience for a self delivery construction business (Not all sub-contracted work/ employees)
- Bachelor’s degree in the following fields would be preferred: Environmental Health & Safety, Safety Management or Emergency Services
- 15+ years of experience in safety construction management within the construction industry
- 7 Years Middle East Experience well versed with local UAE rules and regulations to effectively guide and support the team.
- Experience performing safety audits and presenting results
