Job description: The Role: * Provide high level reception and administrative support to the Wilfred Lopes Centre (WLC) including:
- Act as first point of contact for persons attending the WLC;
- Manage communication with the WLC;
- Assume responsibility for incoming and outgoing mail distribution;
- Ordering and maintaining of office and stationary supplies;
- Cost coding and management of accounts, including the production and processing of purchase orders using the Finance One system; and
- Process staff payroll documentation including collection, filing and recording and forwarding the documentation to Payroll Services.
- If required, during emergency situations call relevant response codes as instructed by clinical staff.
- Assume responsibility for maintenance of all equipment and furniture including organising of repairs and replacement.
- Undertake training required to work within a Forensic Mental Health Inpatient setting.

The Wilfred Lopes Team:
- Work at Tasmania’s only Secure Mental Health Unit as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Position Features
- The job is located in a forensic setting at the Wilfred Lopes Centre. The occupant will work in an environment that requires all staff to be alert to any matter concerning the security and safety of patients, staff and Wilfred Lopes Centre.
- The occupant will be required to comply with all security practices and procedures of the Wilfred Lopes Centre including biometric identification.
Details of Appointment
Permanent full time day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant
- Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.
Salary: $64,125 – $68,925 per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- A correctional allowance of 6.5% applies to this position
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
