Experience working in a British Curriculum school and knowledge of safer recruitment procedures would be desirable. In this role confidentiality is essential along with the ability to prioritise tasks. We are seeking an organised, welcoming and helpful person who is able to represent the school in a professional and friendly manner. The successful candidate will deliver the full range of administrative duties that come with this appointment.The role will commence at the beginning of the academic year 2024-2025 which begins on August 12th2024.Duties and responsibilities

  • To be the first point of contact for visitors to the school, extending a warm welcome to callers – including parents, visitors, contractors and delivery staff.
  • To deal effectively with telephone calls, transferring callers to relevant staff and taking and passing on messages as required.
  • Dealing with general student/teacher/parent enquiries.
  • Arranging appointments between teachers and parents.
  • Communicating with parents regarding all aspects of school life, receiving and passing on information between parents and teachers in a timely manner with minimum disruption to lessons
  • To follow safeguarding procedures by issuing passes and lanyards to visitors, ensuring that visitors are signed into the school and checking information for visitors
  • To receive and sign for all packages and deliveries
  • Organising external exam paper shipments in conjunction with the Exams Officer
  • To organise incoming post .
  • Update student data as and when required.
  • Organisation and maintenance of lists of lockers, padlocks and help to organise the repair of breakages.
  • To ensure that the reception area remains tidy and that literature are updated and replenished as necessary.
  • To call parents of absent students and maintain attendance and lates lists.

General administrative duties

  • Undertake routine administrative procedures.
  • Collate registers and check absences.
  • Maintaining and updating school information, records and databases.
  • Assist with the delivery of stationery, materials and resources to classes and ensure that stock levels are maintained.
  • Any other duties as required by the Head teacher or other member of the Senior Leadership Team.

Experience

  • Experience of undertaking a range of administrative tasks in previous roles
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a school office / busy administration department.
  • Familiarity with IT systems.
  • Customer service background.
  • Experience of working successfully as a key member of a team.

Expected salary: 7000 – 7999 per month
