Shifts include early mornings, evenings, holidays, and weekends. If you cannot work at least 3 days a week to include working on the weekend, some morning shifts, some evening shifts, and holidays, please do not apply.SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Provide information on the use of the golf course facility and equipment, hours of operation, and general guidelines regarding the golf course and its operations to authorized patrons. Ensures adherence to regulations and safety procedures. Monitors and checks the security of premises. This position requires the ability to work at other Semper Fit Department facilities as needed. Collateral Semper Fit work locations include but are not limited to the; 50M Pool, Golf Course, Party/Adventure Recreational Center (PARC), Bob Hope Theater, etc. Cross training will be provided accordingly. Hours for this position vary and each work location will have various shifts to include nights, weekends, and holidays. Shift differential pay will be appropriately applied.Incumbent will clean and maintain the storage and golf cart fleet area(s). Gather golf carts and place them appropriately in the staging area. Maintain golf putting practice areas so they are set-up and continually supplied with range balls, and other necessary items. May assist in maintaining routine reports and/or perform clerical, custodial and/or general maintenance duties as needed. May operate a cash register, receive payments, and make change. Because of the fluctuating demands of the golf course operation, it may be necessary for the incumbent to perform several different functions within the department.Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Directs patrons to proper subject matter experts when assistance is needed that is out of their scope of practice. Take action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisors, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.Physical Effort: Work requires frequent walking, standing, bending and stooping. Lifts and carries objects up to 45 lbs. independently and objects over 45 lbs. with assistance.Working Conditions: Work is done outside, and incumbent is subject to discomfort from long periods in the hot sun, and chilly or rainy weather. EVALUATIONS:Qualifications¿ Six months of experience in a similar recreational activity is desired but not required.
¿ Skill to learn MCCS and Semper Fit policies, rules and regulations.
¿ Ability to communicate efficiently orally and in writing.
¿ Knowledge of basic mathematics.
¿ Basic computer and/or cash register comprehension and knowledge.
