Provides information on the use of facility equipment, hours of operation, and general guidelines regarding the facility, rental equipment, and its operations to authorized patrons. Ensures adherence to regulations and safety procedures. Incumbent will assist in various duties within PARC to include, cleaning, repairing, and maintaining outdoor recreation equipment. Cleaning and washing catering equipment, and cleaning and maintenance of the PARC facility. Knowledge of outdoor recreation equipment including winter skis and snowboards preferred, but not required. Assists patrons with equipment fittings and some retail sales. Monitors and checks the security of premises.May assist in maintaining routine reports and/or perform clerical, custodial and/or general maintenance duties as needed. Will operate a cash register, complete rental agreements, receive payments and make change.Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassmentThis position requires the ability to work at other Semper Fit Department facilities as needed. Collateral Semper Fit work locations include but are not limited to the; 50M Pool, Golf Course, Party/Adventure Recreational Center (PARC), Bob Hope Theater, etc. Cross training will be provided accordingly. Hours for this position vary and each work location will have various shifts to include nights, weekends, and holidays. Shift differential pay will be appropriately applied.Provides exceptional customer service, and upholds high service standards using respect, courtesy, professionalism, and teamwork. Takes initiative to solve problems quickly but recognizes when to seek assistance to resolve issues. EVALUATIONS:Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Six months of experience in a similar recreational activity is desired but not required. First Aid/CPR/AED certification is preferred but not required.
- Skill to learn MCCS and Semper Fit policies, rules and regulations.
- Ability to communicate efficiently orally and in writing.
- Knowledge of basic mathematics.
- Basic computer and/or cash register comprehension and knowledge.
- This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance.
