The Organisation
This RANZCP accredited health service provides specialist mental health, substance, and alcohol-related care services across Central Queensland, in hospitals and the community. The health service serves a growing catchment population of approximately 250,000 people
.
Mental Health Services include an Adult inpatient Unit, an Older Persons Inpatient Unit, an Acute Care Team, Consultation Liaison services and Child and Youth Services. Community, Alcohol and Other Drugs, Prison and Forensic and Indigenous Mental Health Services are also offered. The service maintains strong links with the specialised mental health services in southeast Queensland.
The Job
- As a Psychiatry Registrar, you will have the opportunity to take part in scheduled clinics and inpatient activities across the service clinical teams, and attend and contribute to all case reviews, ward rounds and intake meetings
- You will work with the multidisciplinary team to ensure that continuity of care across the inpatient and community settings is facilitated
- An enthusiastic cohort of Staff Specialists ensures that you will have regular and consistent supervision and mentors
- You will participate in the after-hours on-call roster
- This position is fixed-term full-time for 12 months with the possibility of extension

Requirements
- Current registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) with minimum Level 3 supervision requirements, OR eligibility for registration via the Competent Authority Pathway
- Please note doctors seeking their first position in Australia via the Standard Pathway or doctors with current registration and Level 1 supervision requirements cannot be considered at this time.
