Exciting Opportunity in Property Management

As a skilled subject matter expert in the field of Property, you will play a crucial role in strategically managing our diverse property and land portfolio to support service delivery, financial sustainability, and statutory requirements. Your responsibilities will include overseeing property transactions, managing projects, and providing advisory services to Council and the public.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure property activities deliver value outcomes efficiently
  • Undertake negotiations with landowners, solicitors, Government departments and consultants in respect to land and easement sales, land and easement acquisitions, leases and licences.
  • Initiate and process road closure applications and reclassification of community land.
  • Prepare internal memos, external letters and reports and make recommendations to Executive and Council on matters associated with land and easement sales, land and easement acquisitions, dividing fence requests, road closures and general property matters.
  • Undertake and coordinate project management in relation to land sales, land and easement acquisitions, and special projects including the preparation of tender specifications and the calling of expressions of interest.
  • Provide property advisory services and handle other property-related duties

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in Land/Property Economics or equivalent industry experience
  • Extensive experience in property management and transactions
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders
  • Experience in interpreting relevant legislation and working in a fast-paced environment

  • Package: $93,000 – $101,000 gross p.a. plus 11% superannuation (Salary will be based on the skills and experience of the successful candidate.
  • Hours of work: Temporary Full Time. 35 hours per week with option of 19 day month flexitime arrangement. Position is expected to be available for up to 12 months.
