Job description: The Role:
We are looking for a project ready candidate to provide high level coordination, advice and practical assistance to the project and clinical teams to ensure our new operating theatres, endoscopy suites, pre and post operative environments and outpatient clinics are ready for commissioning and service delivery. The candidate must be a team player, excellent communicator and able to problem solve and negotiate to support our team to deliver services in a newly developed building requiring changes to process, practices and flow.
This fixed term position will provide support to the clinical and project team focussing on the commissioning of current capita works including;
- Operating theatres and endoscopy suites
- Pre and post operative environment
- Specialist outpatient clinics

Details of Appointment
Fixed term part time, day worker position working up to 40 hours per fortnight, commencing from April 2024 until September 2024.
*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant
- Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.
Salary: $111,506 – $118,336 pro rata, per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse or Midwife
The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted: * Conviction checks in the following areas:
- crimes of violence
- sex related offences
- serious drug offences
- crimes involving dishonesty
- Identification check
