Job description: Key Duties and Responsibilities
1.To forecast requirements of labour, discuss and agree all labour requirements with Engineers to ensure that labour costs relate to tender allowances
2.Manage workforce by moving employees between projects depending on the project stage and skill requirement.
3.Train and mentor employees in areas of project management, estimating and contracting
4.Inspect and observe work in progress to ensure that procedures followed and materials used are in line with project specifications and quality standards
5.Prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality and customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends.
6.Develop a detailed project plan and track its progress
7.Prepare organizational chart for each project under you, assign roles to team members and set deadlines to achieve targets. Document all quality concerns of sites through reports. Report should have necessary visual supporting and should include recommendations for implementation
8.Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, vendors for the flawless execution of projects
9.Conduct meetings regularly and assist project teams to develop status reports to keep management informed on progress of various projects
10.Responsible for onsite Health & Safety, encourage safe work practices and rectify job site hazards immediately
11.Execute daily operations of monitoring the work executed by the Engineering team at site and prepare interims and completion project reports.
12.Produce daily reports for site activities that can be sent to management.
13.Help Engineers in the arrangement and analysis of projects and scheduling of reports on projects
14.Oversee the preparation, compilation and coordination of standard template cost reports (work done, cash flow, payments, accruals, planned vs actual budget, variances, forecasts, analyses etc.) for ongoing projects
15.Develop and maintain KPI’s for the team. Set goals, monitor progress, and direct the workflow of the department to assure standards are met. Responsible for regular performance evaluations and annual review of performance expectation
16.Training and development of subordinate employees to improve project performance and enhance individual career development. Recognize employees with potential who once trained could assume additional responsibilities
17.Determine andmonitor the resource (time, money, equipment) required to complete a project
18.Manage Cash Flow Requirements for the Projects and control expenditures within project budget
19.Perform all other duties as assigned by the General ManagerRequirements
1.Masters/Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering/ Agriculture/Horticulture
2.Minimum 10-12 years landscaping experience
3.Proven track record of managing projects ranging in the value from 10-30 million
4.Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
5.Bold personality, strong analytical, interpersonal and presentation skills preferred
6.Must be able to demonstrate a high level of trust and confidentiality
7.Passionate team player and driven to exceed results
