We strive for excellence in financial and economic management to improve the lives of all Victorians.Housing ProgramsThis team is responsible for the:

\
  • $2.1 billion Victorian Homebuyer Fund, a shared equity scheme through which the Government co-invests with participants in residential property in exchange for an equivalent equity share;
  • $2.4 billion Social Housing Growth Fund, which provides funding to eligible community housing agencies to deliver new social housing for Victorians in need; and
  • $250 million Victorian Business Growth Fund, which supports SMEs eager to grow their business but unable to access the funds nor find the right partner to do so.

The Government delivers these programs in partnership with a range of external partners.The team has a positive, high-performing culture and proactively invests in the professional development of its members.About the roleThis is an ongoing role that will primarily support the successful operation, oversight and evolution of the $2.1 billion Victorian Homebuyer Fund. This is likely to include strategic advice on the future of the Fund, complex stakeholder management, contract management, budget management, governance, data analysis/forecasting and reporting. The key accountabilities include:

  • Supporting the delivery and evolution of the Victorian Homebuyer Fund, and other projects developed and/or delivered by the team from time to time.
  • Playing a key role in managing reporting, data integrity and project controls, including working with stakeholders to maintain the program/schedule, budget, contract register, risk register, position papers/policies and performance tracker/s.
  • Developing thoughtful, evidence-based proposals and advice for senior officials.
  • Engaging with stakeholders to build relationships, communicate and consult in an effective and influential manner.
  • Proactively contributing to team culture, by attending team activities, helping to organise team events, and contributing to team discussions.
  • Supporting core government business, which includes preparing briefings, responding to correspondence, developing papers for committees, agendas and record-keeping.

About youWe are seeking applications from candidates with demonstrable experience in:

  • Clear communication: experience delivering professional, high-quality reports and advice, both verbally and in writing, including demonstrated attention-to-detail and the ability to convey complex issues clearly, persuasively and using plain language.
  • Learning mindset and positive attitude: demonstrated adaptability in response to changing priorities, openness to feedback, willingness to learn new skills and support others learning, and positive approach to work.
  • Project coordination/management skills: understanding of project management controls, ability to assist in the development and implementation of project management systems, and the ability to maintain and manage core project documentation, such as the project budget and program/schedule.
  • Problem-solving: demonstrated ability to think creatively and solve problems in collaboration with others, while still achieving the project’s/team’s objectives.
  • Teamwork: collaborates and supports others in the pursuit of common goals.
  • Stakeholder engagement: ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and to influence outcomes.
