Job description: This role leads the Procurement Contracts Advisory Unit, ensuring all procurement contracts align with legal and commercial requirements while mitigating risks. It involves advising stakeholders, developing contract templates, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations, and managing contract-related disputes.Contract Lifecycle Management – Oversee the entire contract process, from development and negotiation to execution, administration, and closeout, ensuring legal integrity and risk mitigation.Legal Advisory & Compliance – Advise stakeholders on procurement contracts, ensuring alignment with company policies, UAE procurement laws, and international standards.Contract Template & Process Improvement – Develop and refine procurement contract templates, incorporating best practices and adapting to evolving business and regulatory needs.Dispute Resolution & Risk Management – Manage and resolve contract-related disputes, working with internal teams and external legal counsel to mitigate risks.Leadership & Market Insight – Lead and mentor the procurement contracts team while staying updated on market trends, legal developments, and government contracting frameworksStrategic leadership opportunityOpportunity to drive compliance, innovation, at the highest levelLegal & Procurement Expertise – A qualified legal professional with a Law degree (Master’s preferred) and 10+ years of experience in contract management, with a strong focus on procurement contracts, ideally within the UAE or Middle East.Regulatory & Compliance Knowledge – Deep understanding of contract law, procurement regulations, and government contracting frameworks, ensuring compliance with Abu Dhabi and UAE procurement laws and international standards.Leadership & Stakeholder Management – Proven leadership experience in managing teams, mentoring legal professionals, and effectively collaborating with procurement, supply chain, and external legal counsel.Negotiation & Risk Management – Strong analytical and negotiation skills to structure contracts strategically, mitigate risks, and manage contract-related disputes while balancing legal and commercial priorities.Process Improvement & Communication – Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to provide clear legal guidance, develop contract templates, and drive continuous process improvements in procurement contracting.The client is prestigious Abu Dhabi based entity in the leisure sector driving growth and innovationThis role offers a leadership opportunity to shape procurement strategies and enhance expertise in compliance, risk management, and contract law.
