This role is ideal for someone with deep expertise in Kubernetes, container orchestration, multi-cloud resource orchestration and distributed systems. The team you will join is responsible for architecting, scaling, and optimizing our multi-cloud environments to build and maintain a high-availability, resilient infrastructure.Prisma Access™ SASE provides protection straight from the cloud to make access to the cloud secure. Using cutting-edge public and private cloud technologies extending the next-generation security protection to all cloud services, customers on-premise remote networks and mobile users.We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to design, develop and deliver next-generation technologies within our Prisma Access team. The team you will join is responsible for the PrismaAccess Controller – architecting and optimizing our multi-cloud environments to build and maintain a high-availability, resilient infrastructure.This role is located at our dynamic Santa Clara California headquarters campus, and in office 3 days a week.Your ImpactDesign, develop and implement highly scalable software features on our next-generation security platform as part of Prisma AccessWork with different development and quality assurance groups to achieve best in quality softwareSuggest and implement improvements to the development processWork with DevOps and the Technical Support teams to troubleshoot customer issuesInterview, mentor and coach new team membersQualificationsYour Experience8-10+ years of experience in software engineering or infrastructure roles.Experience with one or more cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, and their technologies (Lambda functions, SNS/SQS etc.)Deep expertise in Kubernetes internals, operators, controllers, RBAC, service discovery, and workload scheduling.Strong knowledge of databases SQL, NoSQL, Time series, GraphDB etc.Extensive hands-on programming skills in Python, Go, Java/JavaScriptSolid understanding of networking concepts like ingress controllers, service meshes.Strong leadership skills with a can-do attitudeHigh energy and the ability to work in a fast-paced environmentFast learner and eager to absorb new emerging technologiesEducation:M.S./B.S. degree in Computer Science or Electrical EngineeringAdditional InformationThe TeamOur engineering team is at the core of the Prisma Access service. Engineers on our team work on all aspects of the management and control plane of the service. This includes, Activation, Onboarding, Configuration, Orchestration, Data, APIs and much more. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between: $191,000 – $215,000/YR. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus.
