About the Role & About You

We are seeking an experienced Principal Design Engineer to manage multi-disciplinary road design teams for complex highway projects and provide expert engineering advice to delivery teams within Main Roads.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have comprehensive skill, knowledge and experience in road design standards, projects and processes.

You will also have a strong background in researching, analysing and solving engineering problems and be able to build and maintain strong working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

As you will be responsible for managing a number of staff, you will need to demonstrate good leadership skills and ability to effectively manage employee performance and development.
