Will play an integral role to establish floor plans, electrical/mechanical requirements and design that align with the customer¿s vision. Identify and establish specifications on labor, contractual scope of work to assist in the development in the Request for Proposal, and material in accordance with recognized building codes, BEAP and local Base Requirements. Work with auto-cad personnel to prepare shop drawings for on-site Construction crews. Use recommended estimating practices, standards, manuals and historical data to calculate labor, material requirements, and determine an appropriate job sequence plan. Prepare bill of material for each project that includes description, quantities, specifications and cost. With assistance of the Planning & Development Team, prepare Work and Timeline schedules. Work with Project Managers to coordinate all planning tasks with Division Representatives and specified stakeholders to obtain desired results. Possess good command of the English language, orally and written. Maintain records of conversations, minutes of meeting and develop action reports. Identify potential hazardous activities and develop Activity Hazard Analysis and Safety Plan with the assistance of Logistics Safety Officer.Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Acknowledges customers, smiles and makes eye contact. Asks questions to determine, verify and solve problems. Checks for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise.Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Uses required safety equipment and observes safe work procedures. EVALUATIONS:QualificationsMust be familiar with general construction trades and processes. Must have the minimum of three years experience as Planner/Estimator in the Construction Field, OR,a degree from an accredited college may be substituted for experience, OR a combination of field and formal training. Familiar with Government procedures, knowledge of the Unified Facilities Criteria, (UFC) and the International Building Code, (IBC) is highly recommended. Have familiarization of Microsoft Project software. Must possess knowledge of procedures, safety regulations, (EM-385), preparations of spreadsheet, project documentations. Computer program knowledge required to develop and maintain project packages.
