About the role:

A highly rewarding opportunity to join Box Hill Institute as the Placement Project Training and Support Officer within our Faculty of Health, Community and Animals.

The Placement Project Training and Support Officer will be responsible for the training, support and system maintenance for Box Hill Institute’s (BHI) student placement system, InPlace. The role will be the central internal and external contact at BHI for InPlace and will be required to provide daily support to users across the Institute with system administration, configurations, and training to staff with the use of InPlace to manage student placements.

You will be preparing a schedule of training sessions targeting delivery to particular groups and their needs that have been identified on the basis of their existing experience with InPlace and their expected use of InPlace as well as investigate and diagnose application faults, performing root cause analysis when appropriate and providing suitable solutions.

The Placement Project Training and Support Officer is a member of the Faculty of Health, Community and Animals and reports to the Director of Faculty.

The Faculty of Health, Community and Animals provides a wide range of teaching and learning programs across multiple campus’s. The Faculty delivers nationally recognised training in courses ranging from Certificates to Diplomas. Disciplinary areas include nursing, aged care, community services, children’s services, animal sciences, veterinary nursing, equine studies, laboratory sciences, and health. Vocational education and training courses provide pathways into rewarding careers with opportunities for articulation into Higher Education.

About You:

  • Advanced knowledge of placement management systems; ideally InPlace (mandatory)
  • Demonstrated experience supporting student placements and/or delivering training across an organisation
  • Experience preparing training manuals, resources, user guides, reports and emails using clear, concise and grammatically correct language that meets the audience’s needs
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and identify a range of client needs using a client-centred approach; capacity to deal sensitively and intelligently with difficult issues
  • Superior organizational skills, high level attention to detail and initiative, the ability to manage workload during peak times and ability to work well under pressure
  • Demonstrated resilience adapting to changing environments; proposes innovative solutions to identified problems
