Job description: The Pirate Enrichment Academy, formerly known as S.M.A.R.T., provides math, ELA, and or ELL/ML tutoring to students in need.
Approximately twenty (20) teachers needed to provide remediation who possess elementary or subject matter certifications.
One (1) nurse needed to provide nursing services throughout the program.
One (1) program coordinator who will be onsite throughout the program, will develop schedules, and will collaborate with adminstration/transportation to ensure a successful program.
Program runs from June 24th through July 18, 2024, Mondays-Thursdays, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., 3 hours. Exact dates of the program are as follows: June 24-27, July 1-3, July 8-11, and July 15-July 18.
Must possess appropriate elementary, ELA, math or ESL/ELL/ML certification. Standard certification required. Appropriate certification required for nursing applicants.
Teachers will be paid at the tutor rate of pay of $66.84 per hour for 4 hours each day (3 instructional, 1 planning/preparation). Nurses will be paid for three hours each day. Coordinator will be paid for up to 80 hours at the contracted tutor rate. Program paid for with Title I funds.
Staff must be able to work all fiteen days of the program.
PROPER NEW JERSEY CERTIFICATION REQUIRED. ALL PERSONS EMPLOYED IN A SCHOOL DISTRICT SETTING MUST SUBMIT TO AND PASS A CRIMINAL HISTORY REVIEW.
