- Supervise daily pipe department operations to ensure compliance with procedures and safety standards
- Monitor project programs, review schedules, and initiate corrective actions to meet contractual timelines
- Innovate work techniques and adopt new technologies in pipe fabrication and welding
- Act as the Department Manager during absences when delegated
- Set daily work priorities and coordinate with ship repair managers and other trades
- Inspect workshops and shipboard sites to ensure optimal resource utilization
- Approve material requisitions and raise occurrence reports for rejected work
- Halt operations when quality standards are not met
Job Requirements
Education:
- Graduate degree in Engineering
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years in shipyard or offshore piping roles
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of pipe fabrication and welding processes
- Familiar with ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001, and ISO 14001 standards
- Excellent leadership, coordination, and inspection skills
- Capable of managing documentation and improving departmental workflow
