What matters most as the patient access specialist:
- Pay starting at $22 / hour
- Permanent, temp-to-hire opportunity with benefit access including medical plans, dental, vision, and more
- Monday – Friday schedule with 3 different shifts between 8am – 7pm
Your new role as the patient access specialist:
- Act as first point of contact with patients by carefully evaluating the purpose of the call, carefully assessing their purpose, prioritizing their handling, and triaging the calls if indicated
- Maintain information regarding patient services initiatives and explain them to customers when appropriate
- Enroll new customers in patient services program
- Record activities in the patient database and follow up to secure services for our customers by contacting physician’s offices, pharmacies, and other external entities to ensure patient’s needs are being met
Your experience to be the patient access specialist:
- High School diploma or GED required
- Previous experience working with healthcare providers regarding health insurance plan benefits
- Benefit investigation and prior authorization experience
