Performs a variety of patient access functions related to patient admission and discharge including: appointment scheduling, patient registration, insurance verification, and point of service collections. Demonstrates a basic understanding of the revenue cycle. Works efficiently with both the dental and clinic software.What You’ll Do:
- Opens/closes front desk according to current procedures.
- Greets all patients in a courteous and timely manner.
- Answers multi-line telephone; takes clear, detailed, and legible messages and transfers calls to appropriate department when necessary. This includes concise documentation in the EHR system.
- Upon patient admission, verifies that patient demographic and insurance information is current and correct and that required forms according to specific visit type are completed and signed.
- Schedules patient appointments using computerized scheduling system.
- Identifies, collects, and tracks patient liability owed; such as co-pays, co-insurance, share of cost and deductibles.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required, Associates degree preferred.
- One year receptionist clerk experience preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.
Job Information:
- Full-time, day shifts.
- Starting wage $21.68 to $26.28 based on qualifications.
