Job description: Dean’s Professional Services is now hiring a qualified, patient-care-focused Patient Access Representative to work for a large hospital in SW Houston, TX. To accomplish this, we are looking for individuals who share our sense of excellence and are ready to embrace new opportunities!The Patient Access Representative is responsible for greeting patients, scheduling patient appointments, managing lobby, communicating with office staff, ensuring medical necessity compliance, verifying eligibility, and collecting/posting payments.Job Responsibilities:
- Schedules patient appointments and enters required information in the computer system in an accurate and timely manner
- Obtains demographic, insurance, and financial information from patient or guarantor
- Enters information in computer systems with a high degree of accuracy
- Explains all required forms to the patient or guarantor and obtains the necessary signatures
- Ensures medical necessity compliance by obtaining necessary data, reviewing the Compliance System, communicating information to patient or guarantor, and obtaining necessary signatures.
Job Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of 2 years recent patient access work experience.
- Health Insurance Verification
- EMR Experience – EPIC EMR preferred
- Basic Knowledge of insurance
Job Details:
- Schedule: M-F 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
- Pay-Starting at $16/hour + benefits.
