City of Hope’s growing national system includes its Los Angeles campus, a network of clinical care locations across Southern California, a new cancer center in Orange County, California, and cancer treatment centers and outpatient facilities in the Atlanta, Chicago and Phoenix areas.The successful candidate:This position is an onsite FT Float M-F 7:30am-4:00pm ESTPerforms all tasks related to the admission/discharge/transfer process for all patient types. Performs accurate collection of patient demographic and insurance information, to be verified upon each patient registration. Performs check-in, check-out process for all registration appointments. Obtains all required patient registration forms, patient identification cards, and insurance cards. Prepares for upcoming registration appointments.

  • Prepares for each day’s appointments by reviewing schedule, pre-printing necessary documents and/or wristband. Review insurance benefits and accounts for up-front collection opportunities and balances due.
  • Performs check-in and check-out functions for daily Registration appointments
  • Accepts patient payments, issues receipts and handles petty cash as necessary
  • Ensures patient charts contain complete and accurate demographic and insurance information
  • Ensures patient picture is obtained and loaded into hospital EHR
  • Assists with department emails and answers registration hotline

JOB QUALIFICATIONS – REQUIREDEducation – High School Diploma or equivalent

Expected salary: $17.71 – 27.35 per hour
