Job Overview
As a Pastry Chef at Jumeirah Saadiyat Island Resort, you will lead the pastry and bakery team in creating exceptional confections for seven world-class restaurants and a new cake shop project. You will be responsible for maintaining cost controls, implementing high standards, and driving culinary innovation while ensuring compliance with Abu Dhabi Municipality regulations.Key Responsibilities
- Support budget preparation and ensure alignment with operational goals
- Maximize profitability by controlling pastry and bakery costs across all kitchens
- Lead the creation and execution of innovative desserts and bakery products
- Oversee the setup and launch of a new in-house cake shop
- Regularly update departmental SOPs to align with Jumeirah policies and local regulations
- Collaborate with Executive Chefs to maintain food quality and consistency
Required Skills and Experience
- 5-7 years of progressive pastry leadership experience in luxury hotels or upscale culinary environments
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse pastry team
- Creativity and attention to detail in pastry design and execution
- Flexibility to adapt to seasonal ingredients and evolving guest preferences
- Passion for excellence and dedication to guest satisfaction
