Includes feeding and personal hygiene assistance. Opportunities to assist with community off site activities.All jobs are part time, but several can be put together to equal full time status with benefits.JOB DUTIES:Provide positive and kind support to Individuals and students served in accordance with the Individual Support Plan (ISP), Individualized Education Program (IEP), Plan Addendums, Behavior Support Plans, doctor’s orders, Missouri Quality Outcomes and other written documentation.
- Provide positive and kind support to Individuals served in accordance with the Individual Support Plan (ISP) Plan Addendums, Behavior Support Plans, doctor’s orders, Missouri Quality Outcomes and other written documentation.
- Work with supervisory staff to plan curriculum and activities appropriate for individual needs and skills of Individuals. Assist in and assigned classroom or on community access or rotate with an assigned Individual/student throughout the day as needed and requested.
- Demonstrate engagement with Individuals and students in a supportive, helpful and gentle manner. Encourage the development of a positive, meaningful relationship with Individuals/students in order to increase feelings of being safe and loved.
- Maintain confidentiality for HIPPA/FERPA and programming files/information.
- Complete written documentation as required.
- Assist with grooming needs of the Individual’s including: tooth brushing, hand washing, feeding/lunchtime clean up, etc.; always promoting the independence of the Individual/student.
- Use appropriate behavior management techniques; assist and cooperate in implementing Individual Support Plan (ISP).
- Facilitate the program schedule/routine.
- Follow and implement supervisory directions.
- Use appropriate lifting techniques to assist Individual with toileting and transitions as needed.
- Work cooperatively on maintaining orderliness, sanitization and cleanliness of equipment and materials.
- Adhere to policies and procedures outlined in the staff handbook and policies & procedures manual.
- Attend and actively participate in required in-services, trainings, staff meetings or other program plan meetings as assigned.
- Ability to lift, push and pull 50+ lbs., sit, squat, kneel, reach and get up and down from the floor repeatedly to complete assigned tasks.
- Proficient English, written and verbal communication skills.
- Maintain required licensures and certifications
