Job description: Salary: AED 8-10kPurpose of the Role
The Operations Executive is responsible for managing the supply chain logistics, including coordinating the movement of goods, ensuring compliance with import/export regulations, and optimizing transportation solutions. This role ensures timely delivery and customer satisfaction by collaborating with suppliers, carriers, and regulatory bodies, and by overseeing order fulfillment and customs clearance processes.Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Coordinate the movement of goods and materials by selecting appropriate transportation modes, carriers, and routes to ensure timely delivery while minimizing costs.
- Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, inspection companies, insurance companies, and other stakeholders to streamline supply chain processes and ensure seamless coordination across all stages of the logistics network.
- Monitor order processing and fulfillment activities to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Contact suppliers to schedule deliveries or discuss overages, shortages, discrepancies, or missed deliveries.
- Manage export/import documentation to ensure proper execution within the transportation files.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, import/export laws, and customs regulations by maintaining accurate documentation and facilitating customs clearance procedures.
- Liaise with airlines and ocean lines to procure the best possible solutions (capacity and cost) for the execution of transportation files.
- Liaise with shipping agents to guarantee the best possible service and assistance.
- Network with operations colleagues to ensure proper support in case of workflow overload.
- Keep daily track of all shipments in transit to their destinations and maintain corresponding files.
- Assist the Department Manager, Salesperson, or Trader with any ad-hoc work.
Required Competencies, Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, preferably within a similar industry.
- Demonstrated experience in handling import/export operations, including familiarity with customs regulations and documentation.
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes including logistics, procurement, and freight forwarding.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to shipping, import, and export laws.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively deal with suppliers, customers, and logistics partners.
- Strong analytical skills
- Detail-oriented with strong planning and project management abilities to ensure timely delivery and compliance with all logistics and regulatory processes.
Expected salary: 8000 – 10000 per month
