ABOUT THE ROLE

The Operations Assistant role is instrumental in aiding the clinical team, particularly in operating theatres, to ensure the seamless delivery of surgical services. Additionally, this role involves providing support across the health service as necessary, encompassing general duties in wards, patient transportation, and cleaning and portering tasks. Key responsibilities include supporting the efficient running of theatre lists and cases, transporting patients within the facility, providing general assistance in various areas, undertaking cleaning duties, adhering to safe handling and infection control guidelines, maintaining accurate documentation, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.

ABOUT YOU

  • Experience in care settings, cleaning duties, or general health/aged care assistance.
  • Proven ability to work independently, completing tasks effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills, able to relate well and communicate respectfully with various stakeholders.
