An exciting opportunity exists to join the Quick Access Response Team (QuART) at Wollongong Hospital as an Occupational Therapist Level 3.

This is a temporary full-time maternity relief position until 29 September 2024 with the possibility of an extension at same or reduced hours.

Important Information

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed an up-to-date course of a COVID-19 vaccine (2 doses) which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). What you’ll be doing

The position provides a specialised clinical service to patients/client/consumers across the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District. The position will provide high quality inpatient and/or outpatient for referred patients/clients/consumers and act as a consultant for health professionals in the area of Allied Health: Nutrition & Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Diversional Therapy, Physiotherapy, Social Work, Speech Pathology and Exercise Physiology.

Selection Criteria

  • Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or eligible for membership of professional association for disciplines not requiring AHPRA registration.
  • Experience in aged care/community including recognising and managing deteriorating or vulnerable patients.
  • Demonstrated high-level problem solving, time management, and prioritisation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team and/or interdisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated high-level written and verbal communication, and strong computer literacy skills.
  • Knowledge and proven ability to undertake quality improvement and service evaluation processes.
  • Extensive post graduate clinical experience in the aged care or community health.
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence, with the ability to travel in accordance with position responsibilities.
