CQMHAODS Inpatient Service consists of a 23 bed Adult Inpatient Unit, of which three (3) beds are designated high dependency and a further eight (8) beds Older Adult Inpatient Unit. We need people like you to be part of the excitement in continuing and embedding the implementation of Safewards across inpatient services and to better position us to meet the emerging challenges and demands of patient care into the next decade.

About the role:

Effectively contribute as a member of the Senior Leadership Group within CQMHAODS and to lead a strong support team to deliver contemporary mental health inpatient services.

You will coordinate all operational components of the Adult Inpatient Unit and Older Persons Acute Inpatient Service, with the support of a strong team of Clinical Nurse Consultants, a Clinical Facilitator, Discharge Coordinator, Social Workers, Occupational Therapist ensuring exceptional individual care is delivered.

About you:

To be successful in this role you must have a Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent. Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with a current annual nursing practicing certificate Division one (1) is essential. While not mandatory, recent, extensive experience working in an Adult Mental Health specialty would be highly regarded and/or a relevant postgraduate qualification is highly desirable for this position.

  • Leadership and management capability through the expressed knowledge of team engagement, human, financial and material resource management principles applicable to operational planning, coordination and evaluation of services including the Business Planning Framework.
  • Advanced interpersonal and communication skills including negotiating, conciliation, and well-developed written skills.

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $159,429 p.a. is comprised of:

  • A salary between $128,701 – $139,732 p.a.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
