Job description: An exciting new leadership opportunity has opened for a Nurse Unit Manager to join our team!
About the Role
The successful candidate will be joining our General Ward which specialises in Orthopaedics, General Surgical and Medical. This role is offering flexibility in employment to the right candidate, permanent full-time or part-time negotiable!
Reporting to the CEO/ Director of Clinical Services, you will work with and support nursing staff in achieving excellence in care delivery in line with best practice and legislative requirements.
The successful candidate will supervise, lead, direct and motivate staff to achieve outcomes with the ability to manage financial and human resources. You will effectively manage roster processes, allocate duties for nursing staff, proactively increase occupancy where possible and provide a positive, safe, learning environment.
Your Skills and Experience
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Demonstrated extensive clinical skills and experience as a Clinical Nurse or Nurse Unit Manager delivering high standards of clinical care utilising specialist knowledge
- Post graduate Clinical Nursing qualification (or currently working towards)
- Minimum of 3 years management or team leading experience
- Be professional and highly motivated with a passion for enhancing staff engagement
- Proven effective communication and interpersonal skills in a multidisciplinary environment
Remuneration
On offer is a base hourly rate of $64.47574 + superannuation based on qualifications and experience. Exclusive of penalties and allowances. (VIC Nurse Unit Manager)
