About the role

You’ll be providing direction on the implementation and maintenance of the Clinical Excellence Commission’s (CEC) Between The Flags (BTF), Sepsis Kills/ Recognise, Engage, Act, Call, Help is on its way (REACH) and safe clinical handover programs across all Northern NSW Local Health District (NNSWLHD) sites and services. Providing expert advice on the implementation of NSW Health policy directives relating to recognition and management of deteriorating patients and clinical handover.

If you have/are:

  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) and a post graduate qualification in a specialty area (as deemed appropriate by the panel) and/or leadership/management
  • Demonstrated expert clinical knowledge of, and experience with the processes for the recognition and management of deteriorating patients, sepsis and clinical handover
  • Experience with organisational preparation for accreditation against National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards
  • Demonstrated high level leadership skills and ability to contribute at a senior management level on organisation wide issue
  • Proven ability to develop, implement, monitor and evaluate programs or systems across a service/LHD
  • Demonstrated ability to provide clinical leadership across professional groups and lead, influence and motivate at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with high level organisational, prioritisation, project and time management skills
  • Valid unrestricted drivers’ licence for use in NSW/Australia and willingness to travel in the course of employment
