Job Summary: * Create and plan ELD curriculum for Recently Arrived English Learners (RAELs) and instruction in collaboration with content area co-teachers for Newcomer Academy
- Teach math standards aligned with curriculum of Independent School District 196
- Collaborate with Cultural Family Advocates in order to support students and families
- Carry out responsibilities as defined by ELD Leadership team, administration, and site coordinator
- Maintain good communication and cooperation with students, staff and families
- Support, supervise, and advise NA counselors
Qualifications: * Licensed by the State of Minnesota to teach ESL and math
- Strong general academic background
- Ability to relate positively to students, staff and community
- Demonstrated planning and organizational skills
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency working with a culturally, ethnically, racially and socioeconomically diverse school community is preferred.

Compensation:
$40.00/hr on student-contact days
