Job Summary: * Support students and teachers Newcomer Academy
- Support Newcomer Academy teachers to facilitate field trips
- Contact families to support and encourage student engagement in collaboration with Cultural Family Advocates
- Carry out responsibilities as defined by ELD Leadership team, administration, and site coordinator
- Build and maintain strong communication and cooperation with students, staff and families
Qualifications: * Substantial knowledge of District 196 Secondary ELD Programming
- Strong general academic background.
- Ability to relate positively to students, staff, and community.
- Demonstrated planning and organizational skills
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency working with a culturally, ethnically, racially and socioeconomically diverse school community is preferred.
