Our client is looking for a Network Technician to join their team!
Job Description:
Work under the supervision of the IT Manager in the design, implementation, maintenance and support the clients network infrastructure. Perform maintenance, repairs, upgrades and setup of personal computers, printers and other network hardware. Be the first-line of support to the clients network users.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations.
- Provide Level 1 support to local, and remote, users of the network using the Sysaid Ticketing system and various remote support software tools.
- Excellent communication skills;specifically the ability to make technical concepts understandable to a non-technical audience
- Organize and complete equipment replacements, repairs, upgrades and maintenance in a manner that minimizes the impact to users completing their daily work.
- Assist in regular data backups to protect the organization’s information.
- Monitor performance and ensure network availability and reliability.
- Implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security policy.
- Perform other related support type duties as required or assigned.
Skills and Requirements:
- BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field from a four-year college or university desired
- Minimum 3 years’experience supporting Windows servers/workstations and networking infrastructure required.
- Applicant must be ITAR compliant.
- Proven working knowledge of Windows PCs, Windows Office Suites, Windows Server configurations and Windows domain services.
- Hands-on experience with network monitoring, diagnostic and analytics tools
- Good knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols, DCHP, DNS and network technologies
- Experience with network security hardware (Sonicwall NSA experience is a plus)
- Experience with, or willingness to learn, ASP.Net web programming for internal intranet is a plus
Experience:
- Three years minimum

- Bachelor’s Degree
