The Network Administrator is a critical role in the IT Department responsible for overseeing the infrastructure support and project lifecycles. This includes implementing, maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting of systems and network devices located primarily on premise but also in the public cloud.

This position is located in Tacoma, WA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain/patch, and monitor WLAN, WAN and LAN systems.
  • Plan, manage, and implement security changes and improvements.
  • Perform administration of software distribution, application and security patch management, desktop security, remote support, and other enterprise desktop management, as well as monitoring and troubleshooting utilities.
  • Install, upgrade, maintain and manage high available Exchange infrastructure.
  • Implement additional security using Barracuda Email antispam firewall, DKIM, SPF, and DMARC.
  • Work with email compliance tools such as email discovery, data loss prevention, message auditing-tracking and email retention.
  • Utilize Microsoft MCM to apply Microsoft security patches to Windows servers and workstations.
  • Create and configure virtual machines, as necessary.
  • Plan and implement patches and Service Packs.
  • Improve operational state of systems through application and OS updates, configuration improvements, maintenance automation, and performance optimizations.
  • Upgrade, maintain and monitor AD forest and Domain DHCP, DNS, DFS and Group Policy.
  • Maintain Virus protection on all Windows devices.
  • Execute maintenance tasks and configuration changes on Windows Servers hosted in Hyper-V environment.
  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, Networks LAN and WAN, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
  • Support network infrastructure (wireless, VPN, firewall…etc.)
  • Review logs for errors or potential problem alerts and take corrective action.
  • Ensure adequate backup for all recovery scenarios.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve client hardware and software related issues in coordination with other members of the IT department.
  • Define, prioritize, and resolve all service-related support requests in an organized, efficient, and expediated fashion.
  • Troubleshoot listed technology and application issues as needed.
  • Perform special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field required.
  • Five years of responsible experience in a centralized information technology organization.
  • Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis, and computer hardware/software systems required.
  • Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration, and network installation required.
  • Familiar with MS SQL Server database and Hyper V troubleshooting a must.
  • Proven experience with NTFS file and share permissions.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 as well as experience developing reports using Crystal Reports and performing in a Business Analyst capacity and mapping business processes required.
  • Knowledge and experience with user roles and Security in D365 required.
  • Expert knowledge of C#, ASP.NET Web Forms, HTML5, CSS, jQuery, JavaScript, T-SQL, Stored Procedures, SSIS, table design, indexes & query optimization required.
  • Previous experience with Made 2 Manage ERP system a plus.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Discrete Manufacturing preferred
  • Strong understanding of Virtualization technologies (VMWare, Hyper-V, etc.)
  • Proven ability to manage personnel as well as establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, managers, and vendors as necessitated by the work required.
  • Proven track record of being self-motivated, working with minimal supervision, and partnering with diverse team members and outside sources required.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently, retain a sense of urgency and meet strict timelines required.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and problem solve when faced with multiple input sources required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
  • Conduct oneself with the highest level of professionalism, discretion, and ethical standards.
