Place of Performance: 1800 Washington Boulevard Baltimore, MD 21230 (3 days remote, 2 days onsite)
Rate: $54/hr – 65/hr
Duration: 05/01/2025 – 03/31/2027Position Overview:
The .NET Full Stack Developer will play a critical role in the design, development, and implementation of an online portal and payment module for a government agency’s permitting and licensing applications. This project involves developing a user-friendly and scalable solution for processing various forms and related transactions. The portal will provide users with an informational page for each of the forms and facilitate the collection and validation of required data for licensing and permitting purposes. As part of the development team, the developer will work in an Agile environment to ensure the portal is secure, high-performing, and meets the needs of both end-users and stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable and secure web applications using .NET technologies.
- Build responsive, user-friendly front-end interfaces with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks like Angular, React, or Vue.js.
- Develop back-end services, APIs, and microservices using C#, ASP.NET Core, and Entity Framework.
- Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms (e.g., OAuth, JWT).
- Integrate third-party services and APIs into the portal.
- Deploy and scale applications using cloud services (Azure, AWS).
- Write clean, maintainable code and perform code reviews, unit testing, and version control (Git).
- Maintain and refactor existing code to improve performance and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve defects and issues identified through user feedback or testing.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Work with cross-functional teams to define requirements and project deliverables.
- Stay updated with industry trends and propose new technologies to enhance development processes.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development practices and project management standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Full Stack Developer with a strong focus on .NET technologies.
- Expertise in front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.js.
- Strong proficiency in back-end development using C#, ASP.NET Core, and Entity Framework.
- Experience with RESTful API design and microservices architecture.
- Solid experience with SQL Server, including database design and query optimization.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure or AWS.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and automated testing.
- Ability to work collaboratively within an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Understanding of secure coding practices and implementing security features in web applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Service Now and/or Govolution Payment Portal implementation with FMIS integration.
- Knowledge of state government policies and practices.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks like Blazor.
- Familiarity with UX/UI design principles and working closely with design teams.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks such as NUnit, Selenium, or Jasmine.
Additional Information:
- The position will be hybrid, with 3 days remote work and 2 days onsite (Wednesday mandatory) in Baltimore, MD.
- Candidates must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to the success of the project.
