Job description: IntroductionThe Natural Resources Police State Park Officers are law enforcement officers who work to keep the public safe and protect Delaware’s natural and cultural resources. Our officers work in some of the most beautiful locations in Delaware while enforcing public safety and promoting the mission of Delaware State Parks.\r\nSummary StatementThe Natural Resource Seasonal Police Officer positions are responsible for performing law enforcement duties such as patrol operations, crime prevention, public safety, opening and closing facilities, and visitor use management. Work is performed indoors and outdoors under various weather conditions. Some duties may vary for each park. Applicants must be available to work rotating weekends, overnight shifts, evenings, and holidays as scheduled.\r\nEssential FunctionsEssential functions are fundamental, core functions common to all positions in the class series and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all job duties for any one position in the class.
