Job description: About the position
Council’s Natural Reserves Department is looking for a Natural Reserves Assistant Ranger who will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of flora and fauna maintenance programs within bushland and coastal areas.
This is an eight (8) month fixed term contract to assist Council across a busy seasonal/peak period.
This is a full time role working 38 hours per week. You will be working 8.44 hours per day, 9 day fortnight.
About you
- Previous experience in maintaining bushland or horticultural sits across public parks
- Experience in the use of a variety of tools, plant and mechanical equipment used in open space maintenance
- A strong understanding of safe work practices.

This position is a Band 2 currently remunerated between $63 412 and $65,204 per annum, plus superannuation. Salary level will be based on the experience level of the candidate. Overtime will also be paid as required.
