The Music Teacher – Secondary Education Abu Dhabi UAE will lead music instruction for students at the secondary level, fostering an appreciation for the subject while promoting performance, creativity, and academic success. The role includes curriculum planning, extra-curricular contributions, and collaboration with peers and the school community.Key Responsibilities
- Teach music to students in secondary grades, following the British curriculum
- Develop engaging lessons that integrate theory, performance, composition, and appreciation
- Organize and support musical events, performances, and extracurricular clubs
- Use varied instructional methods to meet different learning needs
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Monitor and assess student progress, offering constructive feedback
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Participate actively in school-wide initiatives and professional development programs
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Music or B.Ed with PGCE in Music or equivalent teaching qualification
- Minimum of 2 years experience teaching in a secondary school, preferably in a British curriculum context
- Strong subject knowledge and a creative approach to teaching
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to school community involvement and extra-curricular activities
- ECTs with relevant degrees are encouraged to apply and will benefit from NQT and IPGCE support
- Availability to start in August 2025
