The MEP Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for the end-to-end management of quantity surveying works for HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting, electrical, ELV, and LPG systems. The role involves budget monitoring, quantity take-offs, and validation of subcontractor invoices.Key Responsibilities
- Perform accurate quantity take-offs for all MEP trades including HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting, electrical, ELV, and LPG
- Prepare bills of quantities system-wise and building-wise using MS Office and preferred QS tools
- Submit monthly payment certificates for MEP services and verify subcontractor invoices
- Monitor weekly records of materials, labor, and related costs against project budget
- Notify Project Manager of cost overruns and assist in budget control
- Maintain records for all payments, orders, and expenses related to MEP scope
- Understand and interpret MEP drawings and specifications
- Coordinate with project engineers for on-site validation and reporting
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- 10-12 years of UAE experience in construction and electromechanical industries
- Strong understanding of MEP systems, drawings, and QS best practices
- Proficient in MS Office and familiarity with quantity take-off software
- Detail-oriented with excellent documentation and budget tracking skills
