Job description: We are seeking a skilled and organized Medical Office Administrator to join our team. The Medical Office Administrator will play a key role in managing the daily operations of our medical office, ensuring efficiency and high-quality patient care. This individual will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks, including patient scheduling, medical record management, and insurance billing. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of medical office procedures and terminology.Responsibilities
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring accurate and up-to-date patient information
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, coordinating with medical staff and other departments as necessary
- Manage patient records, ensuring all documentation is complete, accurate, and up-to-date
- Process insurance claims and verify patient insurance coverage for billing purposes
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information to patients and other callers
- Coordinate with medical and administrative staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations
- Maintain inventory of office supplies and order new supplies as needed
- Assist with other administrative tasks, such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in medical office administration is a plus
- Proven experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and insurance billing processes
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, staff, and external partners
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance requirements
Expected salary: 6500 – 7500 per month
