Positioned within the US Market Access Operations & Analytics division, this role carries the responsibility of delivering essential managed care payer and provider analytics and tools that underpin our commercial business strategies. As a member of our team, you will play a key role in recommending, influencing, planning, and executing analytical solutions designed to steer US Market Access strategic priorities, with a primary focus on delivering optimal access, creating positive patient experiences, and building trusted collaborations

- Strategic Collaborations: Build effective working relationships and collaborate with headquarters and field account management teams. You will identify strategic needs, develop analytical plans, generate data, produce insightful analyses, and communicate results that provide strategic direction.
- Data Storytelling: Prepare and present your findings, both within the organization and potentially externally with our valued customers. Your insights will be the driving force behind critical decisions.
- Analytic Tools: Develop cutting-edge analytic tools such as population estimators and price/contract calculators. These tools will facilitate effective communication with customers and guide internal decision-making.
- Elevating Data: Identify opportunities to increase the value of data and data-based tools for Payer and Provider Account teams and Market Access Strategy teams. Your insights will unlock new possibilities.
- Pioneering Insights: Conduct exploratory data analyses and predictive analytics to identify actionable insights and opportunities for US Market Access
- Innovative Approaches: Identify novel approaches and new data sources to address critical Market Access business needs and shape Market Access strategies through data-based decision-making.
- Cross-Functional Teamwork: Foster productive collaboration with internal Market Access data teams, Tech, BU data/analytics teams, and GSK Privacy/Legal to ensure the compliant and effective use of data.
- Continuous Improvement: Provide insights that support the continuous improvement of processes and analytical tools.
- Project Management: Deliver results while effectively managing and prioritizing workloads across multiple projects and timelines. Oversee projects and deliverables from vendors.
Why You?
Basic qualifications:
- Bachelor’s of Science/Arts degree (4 year)
- 2+ years of data and analytics experience
- 2+ years’ experience querying databases using Python, SQL, and/or R
- 1+ years’ experience in deriving analytical insights through querying and analyzing de-identified, longitudinal US healthcare claims data (e.g., datasets from IQVIA, SHS, etc.)
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA, MS, or MA in a discipline relevant to data and analytics
- 3+ years in a pharma/healthcare industry analytics position analyzing US healthcare administrative claims data housed in a major data repository (e.g., Teradata, Oracle, Hadoop, Azure, etc.) for commercial business needs such as healthcare utilization patterns, B2B account management and contract support.
- Experience using platforms such as Databricks for data analytics, processing, and transformation.
- Experience building predictive models and applying AI and machine learning techniques in the healthcare industry.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
- Experience building data visuals and/or dashboards using tools including, but not limited to, Tableau, Qlik Sense, Qlik View, Power BI, etc.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex analytic projects with shifting priorities and timelines.
