Oversee, implement, and monitor Corporate Safety Programs across multiple project sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- The Manufacturing Safety Manager will perform all tasks associated with the role of Safety Representative.
- Develop and deliver training and educational programs for company employees.
- Organize pre-job safety meetings to address potential hazards and issues before project commencement.
- The Manufacturing Safety Manager will conduct jobsite inspections to ensure adherence to Company Safety Programs and OSHA regulations.
- Develop emergency response plans for various projects.
- Arrange basic first aid training sessions for jobsite personnel.
- Investigate and assess incidents involving bodily injury or property damage.
- The Manufacturing Safety Manager will coordinate safety initiatives with subcontractors on each project.
- Prepare and distribute regular accident reports and summaries.
- Communicate updates regarding safety requirements and changes to employees.
- Support weekly safety meetings for foremen and monthly meetings for superintendents.
- Identify and provide guidance, training, or corrective actions for project management personnel to ensure adherence to Corporate Safety standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- The Manufacturing Safety Manager must hold a bachelors degree in safety or related field
- Must have one or more certification in safety (CSP, ASP, OSHT, OSHA, CIH, etc.)
- Must have at least 5 years of experience in safety from a timber manufacturing/ timber fabrication/ timber construction or timber engineering background.
- The Manufacturing Safety Manager must have an in-depth knowledge of OSHA Construction Regulations.
- Ability to assess construction activities for safety and loss control.
- Strong analytical skills to review and recognize trends in company accident data.
- Proficiency in identifying training needs and creating safety programs.
- Competency in using software tools such as Word and PowerPoint.
- The Manufacturing Safety Manager must have strong presentation skills.
