About This Opportunity

This position reports to the Senior Manager, Student Enrolments and Fees and leads and manages the team of staff responsible for administration of the University’s student fees scheme and related processes.

Key responsibilities will include:

Manage student fees approval, administration, system configuration, and publication processes, prioritizing client service, efficiency, communication, and compliance.

Continuously review and streamline functions and associated processes to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness through simplification, digitization, and automation.

Provide authoritative information and advice to senior management, faculties, and schools on student fee matters, including legislative requirements, operational implications, and system requirements.

Advise senior staff on student matters such as financial liability remission applications and administrative charge waivers, along with high level strategic support and policy advice.

Contribute to student-related policy development within the Academic Services Division and promote improved management and service delivery aligned with university goals.

Foster effective relationships with internal stakeholders, provide support to committees and working parties, oversee staff review and development processes, and ensure optimal staff deployment and training.

About You

Postgraduate qualifications or extensive relevant experience, with comprehensive knowledge of the University’s structure, policies, and procedures related to student fees, or the ability to quickly acquire such knowledge.

Understanding of fees setting and administration processes within the University’s goals and missions and experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and Business Objects.

Demonstrated ability to interpret and operationalize legislative requirements and organizational policies in a higher education context.

Proven leadership skills in staff supervision, training, and performance management, particularly in a high-volume and time-sensitive environment.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and report-writing skills, with the ability to convey complex data clearly.

You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment and may be required to complete background checks including, criminal history and education checks.
