How you’ll make a difference:
The Manager Procurement Strategy & Policy leads a small team of specialists and is responsible for:
- the department’s goods and services procurement governance framework,
- the establishment and enhancement of policies, procedures and templates to support the procurement and funding frameworks
- providing policy advice and support to the Procurement Management team and department stakeholders
- maintaining strong commercial acumen to support strategic procurement advice and oversight
- the management of intra and inter departmental reporting
The Manager Procurement Strategy & Policy also provides customer-focused thought leadership and support to the Chief Procurement Officer, the Procurement Committee and senior management on future initiatives, capabilities and technologies to improve the procurement function within the department.

- knowledge of relevant government legislation and experience in procurement, contract and category management activities
A tertiary qualification in fields relevant to procurement and / or contract management would be desirable but not essential. * Ability to lead and inspire others
